Help Protect and Rescue Whales

Fran, a beloved humpback whale that was seen year after year, had just successfully brought her new calf to their feeding grounds when tragedy struck: Fran was killed in a ship collision, one of the leading causes of death for large whales.

At The Marine Mammal Center, we are working every day to prevent stories like Fran’s from happening again. Our experts are studying whale behavior, migration patterns and ship traffic to reduce the risk of deadly collisions—and helping entangled and injured whales in urgent need of care.

Your support makes this urgent, life-saving mission possible.
