Florida’s black bears are in danger—again.

Despite widespread opposition, state officials are moving forward with a plan to reinstate deadly bear hunts.

The last hunt was a disaster. It was shut down after just two days because so many bears were killed. Twenty-one percent of the female bears killed were nursing mothers, leaving orphaned cubs to face winter alone.
